Full Bio (250 words)
Alexandros Tsopozidis is a genre-defying vocalist whose music bridges the ancient traditions of the Caucasus with the pulse of contemporary pop. Born on January 1, 1986, in the mountain village of Sameba (Guniakala), Georgia, he grew up steeped in the Pontic Greek musical heritage of his ancestors — a world where Eastern melodies and Greek folk rhythms exist as one.
At twelve, his family relocated to Paphos, Cyprus, where young Alexandros initially chased a career in professional football. That athletic discipline would later shape his relentless work ethic on stage. When he pivoted to music in 2011, Russian producer Kemran Amirov recognized his raw talent immediately, launching a career that would span continents and cultures.
His debut duet with Eldar Dalgatov, "Mozhet Ty Vernyoshsya" (Maybe You'll Return), introduced him to the Russian-speaking world. But it was "Brodyaga" (Wanderer), his collaboration with Elbrus Dzhanmirzoev, that became a cultural phenomenon — surpassing 22 million YouTube views and establishing Alexandros as one of the most distinctive voices in Eurasian pop. Subsequent hits including "Male Male" (11M+ views), "Armyane i Greki — Bratya Naveki" (Armenians and Greeks — Brothers Forever), and album "Za Toboy" (After You) reinforced his unique position at the crossroads of Greek, Caucasian, and Eastern European music.
A recipient of the 9 Volna award for contribution to ethnic music, Alexandros has headlined major festivals including Zhara (Baku), Karnavala (Gelendzhik), Kavkaz Music Fest, and "Zvyozdy Vostoka" (Stars of the East) with Vostok FM in Moscow.
Performing in Russian, Greek, and Pontic Greek, he continues to release music that honors tradition while pushing boundaries. His latest single "Kanitel" (2026) is out now, with "Vechnaya Lyubov" (Eternal Love) arriving soon. Based in Paphos, Cyprus.
